What performances should I aim for in other events to perform well in the high jump?

It’s good for you to have an idea about the benchmark performances you should accomplish in other events in order to help perform well in the high jump. These should be taken with a grain of salt, as your high jump specific training will determine how well you will perform.

Men

Event Performance target
100m 11.0s
200m 22.0s
Long Jump 7.0m
Triple Jump 15.0m

Women

Event Height (Metric)
100m 13.0s
200m 26.0s
Long Jump 5.50m
Triple Jump 12.0m

If you can achieve these performances, your body should be in a good condition to perform at an elite level in the high jump. Mark these performances as something that you should aspire to.
